The Banatian Living Village Museum concept, proposed for implementation via HURO / 1101 / 164/ 2.1.3 project, consists of the reiteration of the Banat village living conditions of the early 19th century by building a replica of 4 traditional farms authentic households, by ethnicity: Romanian, Hungarian,  Schwabian and one Serbian. The households will be permanently inhabited and maintained by families carefully selected based on defined criteria that will perform specific activities to the area of the housing. Diurnal activity of these families will be based on seasonal scenarios that will reproduce customs, traditions, crafts and daily life of ancient times, interacting with visitors to help them understand cultural values and traditions of that time. These households will be able to accommodate visitors who wish to experience "life in the country" from early 19th century. Visitors will live in replica homes, in conditions similar to the described period, no bathroom in the house, no running water, with traditional furniture accessories. The houses will still have electricity, but will not be equipped with modern appliances.

The Romanian household, a replica of a Chizatau household, is by its specific an agropastoral household. This includes the big house, small house, animal stable, shed, barn, pigpen. The specific activity of the households is breeding livestock and growing vegetables. For this purpose pens with domestic animals and a vegetable garden will be created. Children will enjoy the presence of animals and will also participate in their care activities. Those interested and gardening enthusiasts can take part in specific activities.

German (Schwabian) Household, a replica of a household near Timisoara, includes the house with basement and a storage barn with smokehouse, as well as a forge, as the specific activities of German people from Banat are crafts. Visitors will be able to attend iron manufacturing workshops and learn to create various objects.

The Serbian household, a replica of a household on the Danube ‘Clisura’, has as a specific „chelim” weaving. These are textile decorative objects of woven with a loom. The house will be equipped with a traditional loom where such works will be made, visitors being able to participate in their creation. The Serbian house annex building will accommodate a storage area and workshop for home appliances.

The Hungarian household is a replica of a household from Csongrad and its specificity is fishing. It will be positioned near the lake. The house will accommodate the family of fishermen and the annex will include a fish storage space and a workshop for manufacturing fishing equipment. Also, the household will have direct access to the lake, where a fishing boat will be docked to a floating pontoon.

All households will have their own vegetable gardens where inhabitants will grow their own products. Also, in all households visitors will be able to see "the animals around the house": chicken, ducks, geese, dogs, cats, besides the large domestic animals in the Romanian household.

The proposed visiting programs aim, in partnership with the Csongrad City Hall within the cross-border project, to facilitate student exchanges during thematic summer schools. During these summer schools children can learn different crafts, can approach nature by looking after animals, and can see how their grandfathers used to live.

The barn. (social building) As common part of the entire set of households, near the lake will be raised a building having a social purpose, looking like a large barn that will have two rooms separated by a passing lane area of the lake toward the pontoon. This pontoon is large enough to occasionally work as a stage for performances. There will be seats in the building’s attic for the audience to be able to watch performances on stage. The barn will be decorated with traditional objects and will be used for the visitors, families of the four houses and their guests to socialize, as well as to organize events of the communities represented in the Banatian Village Museum. Also, the two rooms can be joined by opening the doors.

The bathrooms. Because the homes are not equipped with bathrooms, a separate building will be built, with bathrooms, toilet for disabled people, staff lockers, showers for employees and for those who will benefit from accommodation in the households, and a mother and baby room. This room aims to facilitate the tasks of mothers having a young child that needs special care and feeding, and one or more children who want to participate in activities appropriate to their age.

It will also be taken into consideration to restore the existing alleys.
