General information

The competence area of the Timis County Public Finances Administration is the region situated in the West of Romania, bordering with Serbia and Hungary, with counties: Arad, Caraş-Severin, Hunedoara and Timiş on an area of 32.034 km2, which is 13,4% of the country’s surface.

This is aregion with a strong multiethnic background, characterised by cosmopolite mentality and multilinguistics, which is important for a major segment of the population, as well as the proximity to Western markets and important natural resources in the region. 

The region’s industrial sector covers all branches: informational and communication technology, car construction, electronic pieces, wood processing, mine industry, chemical industry, production of medicine, textiles, food industry, pottery and glass, etc. Therefore this region is a promising investitions destination, offering substantial posibilities of an emergent market which can lead to a moder business medium which will keep growing.
